Courageous and Compassionate Boundaries
A day of mindfulness and saying 'no' with heart.

Time & Location
28 Jan, 9:30 am – 4:00 pm
Te Whenua Retreat, 2277 Gibbston Valley, Gibbston 9371, New Zealand
About the event
Women often say yes when we mean no. We've received such strong messaging that we must be nice, pleasing, or helpful to be worthy that it's difficult to believe we're allowed to say anything else.
So much so that we believe we must override the signals of our own bodies in order to keep doing it. No wonder we're exhausted, and/or feeling resentful and used.
The use of mindfulness in paying attention to how we think and feel is important in learning to trust ourselves. It's also useful to notice how we feel when trying to set and maintain boundaries, why we often stumble (our stories about what boundaries mean), and how we can stay strong.
We'll talk about this and more as we explore courageous and compassionate boundaries, as well as enjoying a delicious plant based lunch and refreshments.
Sonia Voldseth is a mental health counsellor in Tahuna/Queenstown who believes that better boundaries = better living. She also thinks we put way too much pressure on ourselves.
Investment: $125
