About the event
Welcome to our inaugural Supper Club!
What actually is a supper club, we hear you ask? Compared to, say, a restaurant, supper clubs are a more intimate dining experience. They offer not only a gourmet meal, but also the opportunity for connection with like-minded people. Guests are purposefully limited, and the ambience is curated along with the menu to deliver a highly memorable evening.
Our Te Whenua Supper Clubs will pop-up around every 3 months. Each one will have a special guest - a local luminary in wellbeing - who will join us for supper and informal conversation (no sales pitches or presentations!). This is going to be a fabulous opportunity to foster a deep sense of wellbeing through great food, good times, intimate korero, and potent connections within a community. As always, our food at Te Whenua Retreat is seasonal plant-based.
Our guest for our inaugural supper club is Dr Tonya Cruikshank, who needs no introduction to many of you. Dr Tonya is a rare treasure whose approach to wellbeing encompasses not only our physical & emotional health but also our relationships & friendships, and the life experiences that have shaped us. With regards to joining the Te Whenua Supper Club, she reflected on how this fits so neatly into her holistic approach to wellbeing, and said:
"I'm really holding at the moment reverence for the load and legacies that women carry, and know we need heartfelt connected communities more than ever. As life transitions can leave us feeling we have lost or are less than we once were, women provide the key for each other in welcoming and celebrating each phase of life and the value it holds."
You can read more about Dr Tonya here.
However the real magic ingredient of the supper clubs is YOU!
Come and share your own presence with us on Nov 14th - everyone welcome.
